Established in May 2024, Thelma is product of many conversations and a shared desire to make good food and drink good wine grown and produced by friends and family near and far.

Our ethos is grounded in a deep respect for produce and the people who grow it. We prioritise seasonal, locally sourced ingredients from the Adelaide Hills and surrounding regions, allowing the quality of the produce to guide the menu. By working closely with farmers and small producers, we aim to create food that feels honest and connected to place, celebrating the richness of South Australia’s agricultural landscape while keeping preparation simple, thoughtful and produce-led.

This approach is reflected in the producers we work with, including Tim Spreadbury, Common Acre, and Lucy Margaux, whose work forms an important part of the broader local network that supports what we do.

In keeping with our approach to the growers and suppliers of the food that we sell, our wine list is a thoughtfully selected mixture of local and international producers who source fruit that is grown using environmentally sustainable methods, or grow organic/biodynamic fruit themselves.

We will have a number of wines open by the glass each day, and a broader list to explore should you choose a bottle to enjoy with lunch or dinner.
